ROLE: Power Electronics Engineer (FREELANCE)
RATE: NEG (Dependant on skillset and experience) 

LOCATION: France (Onsite commitment required on a monthly basis)

CONTRACT: 12 x months (18-24 month project)


I have been assigned as a Technical Headhunter for a market-leading Renewables / Infrastructure organisation that has a track record of pushing the performance boundaries and innovating within this space. They have a new project/program, they are looking to secure a Power Electronics Engineer (Converters) on a long-term freelance basis hence my direct approach to you.


After analysing your profile, you seem to have the core skill set that this business is looking for and I am keen to have an initial conversation with you to explore whether or not this business can provide you with an opportunity that is of interest to you. 


This is a long-term contract opportunity and the position can be conducted primarily remotely.


Technical Skills Required: 

  • Simulation experience of power converters and sub-systems,
  • Experience working with simulation tools: MATLAB/SIMULINK & PLECS (other tools considered)
  • Knowledge and understanding of medium voltage design and control issues.
  • Experience in architectural / power topology
  • Ability to communicate and discuss concisely and document well
  • Experience working with high-power converters (1kV - 1 Mv) (NICE TO HAVE)
  • Good knowledge of Converters (NICE TO HAVE) 
  • FMECA Analysis (NICE TO HAVE)
